Don teaches clarinet, chamber music and woodwind techniques at the University of Alberta. He does his community teaching through the Winspear Conservatory at ArtsHub Creative Studios. He is also on faculty at the King's University and has spent over 30 summers teaching at MusiCamp Alberta. He is a patient and joyful teacher, constantly adding to the rich tradition of teaching he gained from studies with Robert Marcellus, Allan Hacker, Ernest Dalwood and more, with new discoveries in anatomy, mechanics, history, art, poetry, psychology, emotional care and life.
